Cosplay meets Fashion

Stunning model and talented Sunshine Coast model and cosplayer, Sharné McMurray (aka Siren’s Belle) joined me in studio to do some fashion photography a little while back. Sharné regularly attends conventions and exhibitions such as Supanova Pop Culture Expo and PAX in a variety of costumes which are always impressive and well put together.

The Setup

The shoot itself took place in-studio with a 3x6m neutral grey (TV Grey) paper background roll. Albeit slightly more expensive, I truly find paper backgrounds deliver superior, crisp results compared to their Muslin and Vinyl counterparts. A total of 3 elinchrom 400W lights and reflector panels were used to achieve the lighting below. For the more technically inclined, the photos were taken on a full frame sensor using 70-200 f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.4 lenses.
