Ghost Mannequin Photography Brisbane

Professional fashion photography for ecommerce, catalogues, and online retail.
Trusted by brands across Brisbane and interstate.

Why Ghost Mannequin Photography Matters

Ghost mannequin photography — also known as invisible mannequin photography — is one of the most effective techniques for presenting apparel in ecommerce. By combining precise studio lighting, garment styling, and advanced post-production, we create the “ghost mannequin effect,” where the body form is digitally removed while preserving the natural shape and structure of the garment.

Unlike traditional flat lay images, ghost mannequin photography gives your clothing dimension and form. It shows how the garment sits when worn — highlighting cut, drape, stitching, fabric texture, and construction — while keeping the focus entirely on the product itself.

For fashion and ecommerce brands, this approach provides a clean, consistent, and professional presentation across product listings, catalogues, and online stores. It enhances perceived quality, improves customer confidence, and reduces uncertainty around fit and structure — all of which support stronger conversion rates.

Our Brisbane studio works with apparel brands across Australia, delivering ecommerce-ready ghost mannequin imagery that pairs seamlessly with campaign and lifestyle photography. The result is a cohesive visual strategy: structured, high-clarity product images for your online store, supported by creative imagery for marketing and advertising — all with accurate colour reproduction and meticulous detail.

  • 48 hours from receipt of garments

* 24 hour turnaround is subject to quantity and complexity of garments

Our ghost mannequin photography is charged on a tiered price per image scale. This scales based on quantity of your images. We also charge a post production fee that covers all of the editing work that goes into each of the images we produce for you. To elaborate on this further;

  • Our creative, or photography fee covers the basic garment prep, styling and photography of your garment
  • Our post production, or editing fee covers all of the post production work and adjustments that go into your imagery before delivering the final image to you.

If you have regular collections that vary in quantity throughout the year, we can work with you to put together a price based on the total average number of garments produced annually.

Both front and rear images of the garments require equal time and effort. This includes garment prep, styling, photography and editing. Because of this, both front and rear are charged as separate images and added to the total overall image count which determines how much is charged per image.

We ask that our customers provide their garments new, and in clean condition ready for photography. While we do provide a basic garment prep service prior to shooting, this basic garment prep service includes lighting steaming/ironing (depending on garment type).

We understand that garments can be creased or folded during transit, or following a shoot - however we may charge an additional 20% cleaning/editing fee for garments that require extensive prep work. This includes:

  • Garments that are overly creased and require use of our commercial presses/additional time
  • Oversized or extremely large garments (gowns, evening dresses) that are are not received in good condition
  • Garments that are soiled with makeup, tan or lotions that require extensive editing work
  • Garments that arrived damaged, or require reconstruction in post production

We provide your ghost mannequin images in two formats. The first is a web-resized version, generally resized at ~2500px on the longest edge at 72dpi. During this time, we also issue your invoice for payment. Once payment is received and your payment is reconciled against our systems; you will automatically receive a second link to download your high resolution images at ~8000px 240dpi on transparent background.

These images are delivered securely via a file transfer service accessed via an internet connection.

Both our cameras and editing systems are calibrated for perfect colour accuracy when photographing invisible mannequin images. Unless otherwise notified, we photograph your garments to achieve a true-to-life image that represents the colours your customers will see when holding the garment. We do understand at times, there is a desire to have a cohesive and certain aesthetic for your brand. In these instances, we ask that you provide us colour references which we can accurately match to ensure you are provided the desired outcome. We do not charge any extra fees' for colour adjustments.
